How to:
Full instructions are available here but for a simple overview just follow these instructions.
- Download DSBridge from the link, and also
lame_enc.dll
if you don't already have it. - Unzip
DSBridge
to your Spotify folder, usuallyC:\Program Files\Spotify
and copylame_enc.dll
to the same folder. - Open the settings page of your iRadio in your web browser using its IP Address and go to the favourites tab. Add a new favourite and put the link http://localhost:8124/ where
localhost
is your PC's IP Address. - Now, open Spotify and play something, go to your iRadio and select the new favourite and hey presto Spotify will be playing.
Now when you start to play something in Spotify you will see a small coloured circle in you icon tray. To connect this new stream to you iRadio, you just have to tell it were to look. For this you will need to know the IP Address of both your PC and your iRadio.
Thanks, it still works after all those years. It is not a very flexible solution but now I can at least stream Spotify to my NOXON iRadio wirelessly!
ReplyDeleteWorks fine! Though you have to edit the dsbridge.ini file if you use Spotify Free. Change the MP3BitRate to 160. You also have to replace the spotify version of dsound.dll to the one included in the DSBridge download. After that it works like a charm! Even the music titles are shown in the iRadio display :) Thank you, StarPoint! Hope you read this.
ReplyDeleteForgot to say that in Windows 7 (and probably also in Windows 8.1 and 10) the Spotify directory is :
ReplyDeleteC:\Users\'YourUserName'\AppData\Roaming\Spotify
The files are hidden so you have to change the settings in the file explorer. That is were the dsbridge.ini and dsound.dll should be placed.
